Master Control

The Master Control Room (or MCR) is located in Park 159 & provides:

Production Access & Support in:

• Traditional film and video editors
• Non-linear, digital film and video editors
• Basic audio production stations
• Stereo production studio
• Multitrack Recording studios
• Television studios & control rooms

Technical Support:

• Full-time Studio Technicians
• Student Assistants
• Available for immediate assistance during MCR hours

Full-time Studio Technicians:

• Paul Stanion - Studio Manager
• DiAndre Summerville - Studio Technician
• Dick Van deWall - Studio Technician

User Certification

Master Control personnel maintain approval and authorization lists of facilities users. The Studio Technicians develop and conduct certification workshops for users of basic and advanced video editors.

ICTV

Master Control supports the ICTV television control operations. ICTV master control operators have access to a video switcher, the community cable television.

Other Electronic Media

Master Control includes two satellite receivers, access to the community cable television system, video tape recorders, dubbing equipment, and monitoring facilities for the television studios and cable operations.
