Equipment


PPECS houses all of the portable equipment that Park School students can check out and use out of the building for a day, a weekend, or just for a few hours.

There is a great collection of photography equipment available, including lights and stands, cameras, tripods, and much more.

Cameras

  • Canon EOS 10D digital SLR camera kits with a dedicated flash, batteries, telephoto and wide-angle zoom lenses.
  • Fuji GSW690 medium format camera, rangefinder type.
  • Mamiya 7II medium format cameras with wide-angle, normal and telephoto lenses.
  • Hasselblad 500C medium format cameras - We have three complete outfits, with camera, film magazines and wide-angle, normal and telephoto lenses. One of them is designated as a "studio" camera and can only be used in our photo lighting studio.
  • Horseman 4x5 field cameras.
  • Calumet 4x5 view cameras.
  • Zone VI 8x10 field view camera.
  • Nikon FM-2 copystand camera with 60mm Micro Nikkor lens.
  • Pentax K1000 35mm cameras - loaner cameras, used only in emergencies when a student's camera is broken during the semester. (Students are required to provide their own manual 35mm camera and bring it to campus when they take any of our photography classes.)

Strobe/Flash

  • Vivitar 285 portable on-camera flashes.
  • Calumet Travelite portable strobe kits - 3) 750 Watt/second strobes with reflectors, umbrellas and stands in an easily transported case.

Light Meters

  • There is a Sekonic L-358 Flash Master light meter for every 4x5 camera, as well as a flash meter in each of the Calumet Travelite strobe kits.

Studio Kit

  • This contains all the accessories to supplement the equipment in the Photo Lighting Studio. There is a Sekonic L-358 meter, a lens and Polaroid film holder for the studio 4x5 camera, and a Pocket Wizard remote flash trigger that works with the Profoto studio strobes.
